Antique Vintage Old Art Deco Iridescent Shell Tasmanian Maireener Necklace Beads

A nice old necklace of old delicate maireener shells, all with a super iridescence. There are two sizes of shells, lovely smaller shells full of blues and greens and at the centre some larger shells which are slightly paler in color, but still with lovely blue hues. The shells are separated by small freshwater pearls and the necklace - which has been restrung - closes with the original gilt metal push in clasp.

The photograph with the dark background has been taken in natural light and shows the iridesence well. This measures 18 1/2 inches (47 cm) in length with the larger shells at the centre measuring 10-12mm.

In length and the smaller shells measuring from 4mm to 7mm in length. This is in good vintage condition with just two shells with small holes. All items are very carefully inspected before listing.
