This large holed flute plays for me at A = 440 Hz. With a slide extension of 10 mm.Intonation is good for a period instrument, with the A and B needing slight lipping down. I find it plays at its optimum with the head slightly turned out a few degrees. This flute is easy to hold and finger, and plays with a bright and reedy tone. Certainly a good flute for Traditional Irish Music. The item "Antique Vintage Old Wooden 8 Key Cocus Irish Flute Butler London and Dublin" is in sale since Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
