Vintage Edwardian Camisole Corset Cover NOS withtag 100 yrs old Original Ribbon

  
I found this camisole in a lot of Victorian and Edwardian clothing that came from Pennsylvania. It features a lace yoke and the original silk ribbon. The elastic at the waistband is still in place but has ceased to be stretchy. When I found it, the camisole had a bit of staining, but it all came out with some gentle treatment and hand washing. I carefully removed the tag and reinstalled it after (it's affixed with a staple) along with the ribbon (I've learned the hard way that these ancient silk ribbons simply disintegrate if subjected to soaking of any duration).

It feels like it could be a blend, perhaps - maybe silk and linen? It has a lovely subtle sheen which I hope comes through in some of the photos.

In addition to its decorative function, the ribbon serves as a drawstring which allows for some adjustment of the size. With the drawstring loose and the camisole stretched flat, the measurements are as follows: Chest: 17" (x 2 = 34") at topmost point, 18" (36") at the pin tucks, 20" (40") at the widest point, about halfway down Waistband: 19 1/2" (39") Arm hole circumference: 11" (22") Length, from top of strap: 20" Length, centrally: 11 1/2" Please let me know if you have any questions.
