This is a gorgeous Victorian carved shell cameo, put on what I think was a reeded bead watch chain. Although unmarked I think the chain is the old rolled gold plate. The brass is starting to show on the back of the cameo's mounting, but the front fancy rim is still nice & bright. The beaded chain section is a little over 18 long. It's not perfectly symmetrical, there is one extra domed bead at the end opposite the catch, but I don't think this is a true problem.

For scale, the domed beads are about 5/8" long & about 3/16" wide. The cameo including the frame, but not the loop, is about 1 -15/16" long [almost 2"] & about 1 -9/16 wide. It's in good vintage condition with no damage I can detect. Just beautiful, & if it doesn't sell, I'll be happy to wear it!
