The diamond has a large size at approximately 9.1mm in diameter, which looks equivalent to a 3 carat diamond. Weighing just below 3 carats, the diamond is significantly discounted but has the same appearance as a 3 carat. Bridging the gap between Old cuts and modern round brilliants, Old Transitional cut diamonds were produced for a very short period of time in the 1930s and 1940s and are exceptionally rare.

Graded H-I for color, it faces up beautifully white and shows no warmth. As an old Transitional cut, the diamond has old style facets and bold sparkle similar to an old European cut but with a smaller culet and proportions similar to modern standards. It absolutely retains the unique charm of a hand cut stone. It is the best of both worlds with old style faceting but with exceptional light performance. The accent diamonds are beautifully white and completely eye clean, graded G-H for color and VS1-VS2 for clarity.

They are very well sized and compliment the center perfectly. The lab estimated the weight on these vintage baguettes at 0.25ct, but we feel they are closer to 0.35ct. The baguettes are individually quite substantial, and their long tapered baguette cuts add a sophisticated touch to the ring. The ring is crafted in solid 14k white gold. The ring measures 9.15mm across (north south) and 8.4mm from finger to top.
