Antique 10k Rose GOLD Old Cut AMETHYST Victorian Ring Large Ornate Crown Prongs

  

Some examples seen in the last photo, so please see my other offerings and thanks for stopping by! Beautiful large old cut oval Amethyst ring from the Jugendstil / Art Nouveau era. This piece is in 10k rose gold with a beautiful pronged setting and wide band engraved banded shoulders. Really ornate with the eye catching prongs, it has a really antique look. The hallmarks have worn away in the band but it tested at 10k.

Antique box is not included. Currently measures about size 5. The stone is about 9.5mm by 12.5mm. All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition.

There is a nick on the back / underside of the stone. Not really noticeable when you are wearing it, but you if you take it off and look under magnification can see through the stone to the nick underneath if it catches the light. There are also scuffs and abrasions to the facet edges that has softened them and given them a bit of a matte finish but no chips to the top of the stone. The stone is very secure and tight in the many prongs but I noticed while photographing it, the stone is a bit tilted in the setting as seen in photos.

There is a seam on the back from a sizing. Surface wear and light scratches from use and wear to the gold band commensurate with age. Sweet piece from a very special era.
