Old Antique Georgian Seed Pearl Rope Choker Carved Amethyst Pendant Pearl Clasp

  
This is an exquisite piece of history! Thousands of strung seed pearls braided and wrapped in a "rope" style suspending a magnificient carved amethyst pendant! Pendant alone is approximately 16 grams. Amethyst is untreated and the color is superb! Beautifully carved details with no chips, mars or scratches. The rope chain has one string that needs reattachment but otherwise this piece has withstood the test of time! Clasp has a lovely natural pearl surrounded by seedpearls. Clasp tests for 10k gold.

Pendant has a "cap" of seed pearl design as well. Measures 1 3/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches across. Necklace length is 15 inches. Truly a museum quality piece you don't see everyday!
