Sword military old vintage antique old interesting original

  
I do not know the history of this sword but it has been in my family for 100 years. Not sure what it is from but it is old. No markings that I can find. A worm got into the wood handle about 50 years ago so it has damage. I inherited control of this in the 1960's Unfortunately some type of worm got into the handle during its long term storage. It belongs in a museum somewhere.
