Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones for display, prop and functional use. I believe this was the last year that this older blue label model was made.

Some of the 55 fatboy models had the blue label, then in the early 1950's they came out with this (S) slim model. Elvis made both models popular. This is one of the few I have had in this nice cosmetic condition with no holes or rips in the blue silk screens and lite wear on the chrome body. No bends or cracks in the ribs and all threading is clear.

The blue label an logo are both in very good condition and the angle adjustment is nice and tight. The heavy metal desk stand base is 6 1/4 inches round and the full height with the microphone mounted is 11 1/4 inches. A very nice example of the 55S. " John's vintage microphone gallery".
