The rim of the cover is stamped 925. Damaged by the postal service and been professional repaired.

This egg is of Russian origin and made in the 1950-70 period, the 925 stamped on the piece is very modern if this were of the Tsarist period it would have the city mark and the assay master's initial with the date stamped on the silver.
